BLANCH

REMOVES GRAFFITI FROM DELICATE SURFACES

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

GENERAL INFORMATION

BLANCH is a hard working decolorant especially designed to remove the "shadows" of paint, inks, and graffiti that may remain after the removal of graffiti from architectural surfaces including fine, porous marble, granite, cut and raw stone, etc. without harming or "burning" the surface. Unlike blasting techniques, BLANCH will not harm any inorganic architectural surfaces. This product is a concentrate and must be mixed with water in order to release the active ingredients which react with pigments to destroy the colorants. As received, the concentrate is a mixture of solids in a liquid medium. Depending on the time and the temperature at which it has been stored, the solids may have settled out to the bottom, so that there may be a top phase of nearly clear liquid and a bottom phase of nearly white solid particles which have settled to the bottom. If freshly made, the material will look like a viscous but fluid white paste. The concentrated material is packaged in ½ gallon containers (6 per case) with an approximate weight of 5 pound net per container, which, when mixed with about 51 ounces of water ( about 6 1/2 cups or 3 pints and 3 ounces) results in a total of about 3 1/2 quarts of ready-to-use paste.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

In order to ensure that the system works as intended, gently but firmly stir contents in the container with a stiff stirring stick such as a paint stick. Use a lifting, stirring motion to lift the solids off of the bottom while mixing them into the liquid phase. Complete homogeneity should be achieved before the next phase. The consistency should be that of a fluid paste. To "activate the product", the homogeneous paste must be mixed in water. NOTE: because sulfurous odors will be released when mixing with water, carry out all operations with adequate ventilation or in the open air. Also, there will be some warming of the mixture as it is mixed with water. DO NOT MIX MORE THAN CAN BE USED IN ONE HOURS TIME.

1. Apply to areas that have been vandalized with brush or roller.

2. Allow to work for 1 to 5 minutes. Apply heat to area via heat lamp.

3. Repeat on stubborn areas.

4. Rinse thoroughly with water. Wipe dry or allow to air dry.

5.  Apply Graffiti-Pruf, a sacrificial graffiti barrier that will protect the surface from future permanent marring.

CAUTION

Use with adequate ventilation. Do not swallow.. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Wash thoroughly after handling.
